Have you ever looked back on the friends you've made and wonder why you became friends?
Some of them especially when I was younger was purely out of coincidence.
That I find it so funny why we bend ourselves out of shape to make new friends as adults.
Rather than trusting time and sometimes fate will bring the right friends at the right time.
That's why I thought it would be cool to create jewelry inspired by classic friendship bracelets and the friendships I've made along the way.
The Creative
This friend I met at work. We don't nearly get together as much as we should, but hanging out with her fulfills my creative void. Growing up and in college I didn't have too many friends interested in design, but when I met her it felt like coming home. She and I have similar interests in blogs, companies we love, and creative things we love to do in LA. These earrings were the perfect choice for her, because the yellow is bright and the wooden boat beads are creative and unique just like her.
The Adventure Seeker
This particular friend dives head first into outdoor adventures. She definitely broadened my horizon on the wonderful beauty of mother earth and the pure thrill of discovering it. She might do it a tad more extreme than me, but I am forever grateful to her for opening me up to a brand new world.
The friendship necklace was inspired by her adventure seeking ways. It's delicate enough for her to wear on the trails, but can complement her easily anywhere else.
The Mama Bear
This friend truly takes care of me and anyone in her friend group. She is the most concerned, considerate and compassionate person I know. You can count on her when you need a good cry, a night out, or comforting talk over some Ramen. She gives the best hugs and is always there in best and worst of times. Talking to her feels like a warm blanket and comfort foods wrapped in one.
These earrings with the cluster of wooden beads, shows how keeping those she cares about close is her number one priority.
