I never had the wanderlust feeling my friends got in college or even now. I was lucky to have a family that worked hard to allow my brother and I to travel within the US and abroad with ease. But as I grew older, my dad told me the trick to great travel is to visit someone you know, so they can show you first hand how a local lives, you get to meet new people, and experience the country thru their eyes. and generally speaking everyone loves to play tour guide of their own town or city.
Some of my favorite trips in the U.S. was going to New Mexico, New York, and our yearly trips driving up the coast of California. As a California native, I will never get sick of driving up along the 101 to the 1 driving from coastal towns, thru vineyards, and up to Big Sur. See, you are day dreaming right with me. If you haven't driven down those highways, you should and definitely take your time to stop and see the sights, eat the local food, and take in some fresh air.
These little road trips, out of state week long trips, and international month long trips inspired my design for this pick me up backpack. I wanted to design something that was classic to go with your casual days of exploring as well as your charming evenings of long dinners. I pulled inspiration from my favorite brands. From Fossil's effortlessly cool leathers, Lo & Sons innovative features, and Beis's all around appeal. Now I just wish my creation actually existed. What do you think, this pick me up backpack can take you on your weekend adventures, long week excursions, or dreamy one month long getaways.
