Did you guys ever watch the Sandlot? This classic I've watched so many times. Something so nostalgic about that movie. Even though it is supposed to be depicted in the 60s, the nostalgia hit home for me as a kid of the 90s. Playing with your neighborhood friends, cannon balls in the public pool, hop scotch outside your house, rollerblading, and jumping on trampolines. Yes I said jumping on trampolines, I still find them crazy fun.
So I wanted to delve deep into that time and create something a little playful and carefree about being a kid. I always would tell my mom 4th grade was a good year. I didn't hit puberty yet and school was still fun, I used to finish my homework in an hour and then play till the sun came down. My choice was bike riding. My brother and I would ride up and up down these steep hills in our neighborhood , and blaze down them feeling the gust blow us down. I was just a free wheeling kid. I truly enjoyed myself and had a good time.
So I took that blissful joy and created the whimsy collection. Inspired by the silly, endless fun of being a kid. These earrings have twisted wire that turns on its own accord and buttons filling the gaps.
